Owner Builder
The NSW Owner Builder Course (previously known as the accredited course 91509NSW Course in Owner Builder Compliance) is the mandatory course that all individuals must complete prior to being eligible to apply for an NSW Owner Builder Permit (unless an exemption applies).
The Owner Builder Course the five (5) mandatory units of competency as set by NSW Fair Trading which we have grouped into three Modules:
Work Health and Safety
Drawings, Estimating, and Cash Flow
Managing the Work
Every Owner Builder in NSW must also have a White Card. The White Card Course (known as the unit CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry), provides participants with the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry, information about preventing workplace injury and illness and identifying hazards and risks and workplace injury management. You can complete this with TLH Training Group.
If you already hold a White Card, that has been issued:
Less than 2 years ago, you will be able to complete our NSW Owner Builder Course and apply for an Owner Builder Permit using your existing White Card
2 or more years ago, and you have not been working in the construction industry, you will need to complete a current White Card Course in addition to the NSW Owner Builder Course to be able to apply for an Owner Builder Permit.

CPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS Requirements, Policies and Procedures In The Construction Industry
CPCCOM2001 - Read and Interpret Plans
CPCCCM1011 - Undertake Basic Estimation and Costing
CPCCOM1013 - Plan and Organise Work
CPCCOM1014 - Conduct Workplace Communication

$185 per person
Face-to-face training that runs over one day
Training Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of all assessments and full attendance at the course, you will need to apply to Service NSW for an Owner Builder Permit. In addition to the application form, you will also need to present copies of any certificates we issue you, as well as your White Card.

Requirements:
The RPL and trade skills recognition programs are available to tradesmen with local experience or who have completed partial studies in Australia. In some cases, these programs can also help migrants fast-track their qualifications providing they have relevant experience, and qualifications and are aware of the Australian standards and requirements.
