Important information prior to enrolling with TLH Training Group

Course Delivery

This course will be delivered in the workplace or at a TLH Training Group site (10-14 Smith Street, Parramatta, NSW, 2150).

Entry Requirements

    • Age Requirements: Students must be a minimum of 16 years old, however, you will not be able to work in a gaming environment until you have turned 18.

    • There are no formal entry requirements. However, you should have adequate literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills.

    • You must provide a valid photo identification, such as a photo ID card, driver’s license, or passport. Please note that mobile device photos will not be accepted.

    • This course is subject to State and Territory licensing requirements.

    • Have your Unique Student Identifier (USI) ready before attending the course. To create a USI number, visit https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi.

Course Duration

Face to Face – 7 hours (minimum) 

Assessment Requirements

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks. These are detailed in the sections following.

Certificate Renewal Requirements

Before you receive your RCG Interim Certificate, students must complete an online assessment issued by Liquor and Gaming NSW after the course.

Interim Certificates: Upon successful completion of an RCG course, you will receive an interim certificate. This certificate is valid for 90 days and allows you to work immediately.

Competency Cards: To obtain a NSW RCG competency card, present your interim certificate to a Service NSW centre and complete a 100-point identification check. Service NSW will mail your card to your nominated address. Please allow up to one month for its delivery. You can also add this to your Service NSW App.

  • Payment Terms – Payment for individual participants is upfront via our booking system. Group booking payment terms are based on the agreement between the client and TLH Training Group.

Work Placement Arrangements

No work placement will be required as part of this course.

What happens at the course?

  • Delivery of course information and learning activities.

  • Students are offered multiple opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills throughout the course to deem them competent across the unit.

    There are 4 components to this RSA program:

    • Theoretical training (multiple choice and short answer) in the classroom

    • Practical training in the classroom

    • Assessment for both knowledge and skills

    • Online assessment after course completion. This is sent via email from Liquor and Gaming NSW.

    This RCG course combines videos, photos, and questioning to ensure all learners can have the best possible chance at comprehending the required knowledge and skills.
